Ruth and Xavier
Ruth and Xavier both live in London, UK where Ruth is a lawyer and Xavier works in finance.
Ruth has always had very irregular cycles of up to 70 or 80 days and before starting to try to conceive had been diagnosed with PCOS. During this time Ruth saw a consultant who suggested that once she and Xavier did start trying to conceive he would prescribe her Clomid after just three cycles of trying, because he thought it likely that Ruth might well struggle to become pregnant naturally.
In the meantime Ruth began to attempt to pinpoint ovulation? in her very long cycles, in the hope that this would help her to conceive when she and Xavier began to try for a baby. She tried ovulation prediction kits and a fertility monitor which used urine samples, but these did not seem to be producing accurate results when compared with her body's natural fertility signs (for example her cervical fluids).
Ruth then decided to chart her temperatures (as encouraged by her consultant) but could not face all the early morning temperature starts on top of a very demanding work schedule. Ruth was also worried about the accuracy of her own temperature readings and the time that would be required to fill out the charts. After researching charting on the internet Ruth bought the DuoFertility monitor to do her charting for her and was delighted to find that the ovulation dates shown by DuoFertility matched her body's natural fertility signs and she was getting several days' warning from DuoFertility of her most fertile times.
Once Ruth and Xavier started to try for a baby they got pregnant naturally within two months. Ruth says, "I honestly think I would not be pregnant now if it were not for DuoFertility!
