Clinical Fertility Tests

DuoFertility provides the support and expertise to allow you to pursue clinical fertility tests which may not be available directly from your doctor (particularly in some NHS areas). DuoFertility works closely with a laboratory and can arrange these standard fertility tests for you. You will find that our charges are considerably less than 'in clinic' fees - this is because DuoFertility works directly with the laboratory itself.

You can find below the list of tests available along with prices (shipping costs included). Please note that since blood samples need to reach the laboratory overnight, blood tests are only available to UK customers.

Fertility tests for women

Blood Tests

For these tests you will be sent a blood sampling kit, which you will need to take to a nurse (e.g. at your local doctor's surgery) to collect a sample. Most nurses will do this free of charge. You then post the sample directly to the laboratory in the special packaging provided.

Home Urine Tests

For these tests, you simply collect a sample of urine and dip the test strip into it - this can be done entirely at home

Fertility tests for men

Blood Tests

For these tests you will be sent a blood sampling kit, which you will need to take to a nurse (e.g. at your local doctor's office) to collect a sample. Most nurses will do this free of charge. You then post the sample directly to the laboratory in the special packaging provided.

Sperm Tests

The home sperm test, as the name implies, is a simple home screening test. The full clinic test requires you to attend a clinic appointment (in London). In the first instance, we would recommend taking a home test if you have never had a sperm test before. Should this present a negative result, or if you have any reason to believe there may be an underlying issue, opt for a full clinical test. If the clinical test shows up anything unusual you may need to repeat specific clinic-based tests over time (morphology or antibodies).

Home testing for Food intolerance

Food intolerance is a fairly new topic in the field of infertility. It is thought to reduce the chances of conception and increase the risk of miscarriage in those with food intolerances. This home kit is now available to help you identify if this is a problem for you. Food intolerance has been linked with problems such as low sperm quality, ovulation disorders, recurrent miscarriages, increased severity of endometriosis and unexplained infertility.
