A study by the French National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM) showed that in 1980, 30% of all cases of infertility were related only to the female, 20% were related only to the male, 40% involved both partners and 10% of cases had no medical explanation.

Different patients have different levels of fertility and encounter different problems so it is impossible to make generalisations. However, we will try to provide you with specific information on the majority of infertile conditions, as well as some general information that can be applied to most people.

Due to the complexity of the reproductive process, many more things can go wrong with women than with men. The woman is responsible for the production of the egg, the migration of the egg, the proper implantation of the egg in the womb?, the development of the embryo? and whether the egg is able to be penetrated by sperm?. For more details on the biology of these processes, you can go to the biology of my cycle.

Like all fertility aids, DuoFertility can be very effective in certain cases of infertility and less so in others. This infertility section explains infertility itself, its causes and treatments, as well as fertility tests which could help you along the way to a diagnosis.
