How Long Will It Take?

Trying to get pregnant can feel like it's taking a lifetime!Trying to get pregnant can feel like it's taking a lifetime! If you have not managed to conceive after using DuoFertility for a few cycles, don't worry, this doesn’t mean that you are infertile! The chances of successfully conceiving each cycle are about the same as rolling a die once a month and getting a ‘6’ each time.

If after four months you are still not pregnant, it is definitely worth checking your data against our database if you haven’t already done so. This might highlight a problem you are having. If you appear to have a normal ovulation? pattern (our fertility expert can tell you this) and have been having intercourse during your fertile window, then we might provide a report to your doctor (with your consent) with recommendations of possible tests that you would benefit from taking.

If you have been trying for a baby using DuoFertility and you have been planning intercourse at the most fertile time of the month for over 4-6 months but you are still finding it difficult to conceive, you might want to consider asking your doctor to start investigating. Your doctor will only do this, however, if you ask him or her to do so. Some couples might find this reassuring while others will not want to consider this option and will prefer to conceive without the help of doctors. Whatever you decide, it should be your choice, as should every decision you make on each step of this journey.

Did you know...

Only 50% of pregnancies are actually planned in advance, so other couples may not understand your situation. It may be easier for you to discuss your concerns with people who have also been trying to conceive for a few months.
