DuoFertility

These icons can be used to enter in the fertility clues of your choice

The star icons can be used if you wish to enter in a parameter? which is not pre-programmed in the DuoFertility reader. You will be able to enter information about certain parameters, such as illness, ovulation? pain, your periods and intercourse under the specific icons created for them. However, DuoFertility also gives you the option of entering in some additional fertility clues of your choice, and the star icons are used for this.

Once you plug the device into your computer, you will be able to assign different stars to the parameters you want to enter.

You will be given two options:

• A "yes/no" answer. You should select this option if the parameter you want to enter has a yes/no answer ( or an event).
  For example, if you want to enter in the position of your cervix, you would use this option, since your cervix can only be open or closed. (Try to think of it in terms of answering the question: is your cervix open? The answer to this can be either yes or no!)
• An "intensity" answer. An example of a parameter which you might want to enter is your mood, which is not easy to quantify. In this case, you should think of it in terms of answering the question: how energetic do you feel? The answer can vary in intensity from 'a little' to 'a lot'.

   

  Once you have selected the appropriate option on the computer, you can enter the results of the parameter into the reader. Below are a few fertility parameters which you might want to consider entering in the reader.

  • Results from hormonal test strip

  In this case, you should select the yes/no option on the computer to enter in the parameter. You should use the scroll menu on the reader to select the star icon. When the star icon is illuminated, select it by simply pressing the OK button. Press the OK button a second time for 'yes' and once more for 'no'.

  • Libido?

  Many women experience variations in libido during their cycle. For many women, their sex drive is at its highest when they are fertile. This is usually caused by changing levels of estrogens in the bloodstream. If you wanted to enter libido into the reader, you would need to select an intensity option ont he computer. You should enter in the parameter by using the scroll menu on the reader. Once the star icon is illuminated, select it by pressing the OK button. Then, using the scroll menu, select the intensity of the parameter (i.e. the level of your libido) on the scale by pressing the OK button when the correct amount of light is displayed.
