Cervical mucus nourishes the sperm and keeps them fit for the fertilisation of the egg. It is produced in high volumes and is particularly “sperm-friendly” during the fertile window?. It becomes thick and forms a plug a few days after ovulation.

You may find it difficult to enter in cervical mucus as a fertility clue, however, since some women find it difficult to differentiate cervical mucus from residual semen.

To enter your cervical mucus quality onto the DuoFertility reader, you can use the scroll menu. Once the icon on the left is illuminated, select it by pressing the OK button. Then, using the scroll menu, select the amount (and quality) of your cervical mucus by pressing the OK button when the correct amount of light is displayed.
