DuoFertility Reader

The reader is a very important part of the DuoFertility system so it is important that you handle it with great care. Although it is not a very fragile device, lack of care or misuse of the device may cause permanent damage.

If you are using the DuoFertility reader regularly, you can simply leave it on your bedside table or in your handbag if you are travelling. However, you should make sure that you keep the reader and the sensor out of direct sunlight and in temperatures of between 0°C and 45°C.

You should also bear in mind that, unlike the sensor, the reader is NOT waterproof - it is an electronic device just like your mobile phone. If you wish to clean it, we recommend that you only use a dry cloth.

Once you have managed to successfully conceive and no longer need to use the reader, you can store it in a cool dry place. We recommend that you store it in the original DuoFertility box together with the user manual, the sensor and the adhesive so that you will have everything you need to get started if you decide to use DuoFertility again in the future!

The DuoFertility reader has an internal, rechargeable battery which does not need to be replaced. The battery is recharged each time you plug the reader into your PC which you will need to do whenever the low-battery signal is on.

You should recharge your reader whenever the battery symbol flashes red, which you can do by simply plugging it into the USB port of a computer that is turned on. You do not need to run any special software; the battery will start recharging immediately (indicated by the battery light turning orange). When the battery is fully charged, the battery light will turn green until you unplug the reader from the computer.
